sigh do asexual fictional characters even exist
like ones that are officially canonly asexual, not just seemingly asexual
every time i hear rumors that a character i like is asexual, someone debunks it and i’m like “whyyy” i mean it’s not that big of a deal but canon queers are becoming more common and yet i’ve never seen an officially ace character… asexuals are still technically queer, c’mon guys :^(
then again there’s still a ridiculously high amount of people who have never even heard the word asexual before in their life (SEE: guy who thought it was the same as bisexual when i tried to explain it)

Do OCs count? Joking aside, it’s a little depressing that asexuality is so unknown to fictional media. It’s not the end of the world, but I would like to see it acknowledged more both fictionally and in the real world.

I think most viewers want to watch the excitement of relationships with sexuality (not necessarily anything explicit). I feel kinda the same way whenever I think about how virtually all characters fall in love. That’s not everyone’s happy ending…
